Description
Insurance Service Representatives can benefit from an understanding of the risk management process. Knowing the types and classifications of exposures their client's face helps them to design more effective insurance and risk management programs. This course provides tools and techniques to identify exposures, assess their impact on clients’ assets and operations, consider a variety of loss funding/insurance options, control losses, and claims, and finally implement risk management and loss control procedures and monitor their progress.

Teresa Pacelli, CIC, AIC
Teresa Pacelli works primarily as a National Risk Consultant specializing in providing workers' compensation loss reduction strategies or large account and risk management businesses. Teresa assists with new business opportunities, and client advisory initiatives and coordinates consulting projects. Claim administrator performance is evaluated through auditing, claim procedural assessments, and claim closure projects with an eye on collateral relief and cost containment strategies to support a client's risk management objectives.
Teresa has over 30 years of experience dedicated to WC Claims Management having served companies such as Willis Towers Watson, Venture Programs, Royal & SunAlliance, AIG, and Aetna. She specializes in Total Worker Health and also assists employers in cost containment strategies through integrated disability benefits management.
In addition to motivational speaking and continuing education seminars, Teresa also provides onsite training and education regarding Workers' Compensation programs, return to work needs, and the coordination of the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans and Disabilities Act, and Workers' Compensation.
Teresa graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon with a B.S. Degree in Communications. She has continued her insurance education with an Associate in Claims (AIC) and she earned her CIC designation in 2004.
