John M. Dismukes, Jr., CPCU, CIC, AAI, AIS
John M. Dismukes, Jr , owner of Dismukes Training and Consulting, LLC, has over 48 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance industry.
He has worked as a marketing representative for a large national insurance company, as an independent agent, and as a director of education and professional development for an insurance industry trade association. He has been a licensed insurance agent in Oklahoma continuously since 1971.
He obtained his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation (CPCU) in 1977, his Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation (AAI) in 1984, his Certified Insurance Counselor designation (CIC) in 1994, and his Associate in Insurance Services designation (AIS) in 2000.
He is an approved insurance instructor by The National Alliance, The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIAB), The Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), Westport Insurance Company, and Utica National Insurance Company.
He travels extensively and has conducted insurance related seminars in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. He also is recognized nationally as an expert witness in insurance litigation matters – specializing in the areas of errors and omissions and coverage disputes.

Mercy Komar is a Commercial Risk Advisor and Cyber Risk Manager at L. Calvin Jones Insurance, specializing in SMB enterprises.
Mercy earned her CIC designation in 1996 and has amassed over 1000 hours of advanced insurance education. She speaks frequently on Cyber and Executive Risk topics to professional organizations and as a panelist in webinars. Nominee for Women to Watch in Cyber 2021, she is a continuing education instructor in the Midwest for the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, the Greater Cincinnati Insurance Bureau, and the Ohio Independent Agents.
As an award winning agent, she speaks frequently to industry groups about coverage and risk management involving cyber and executive risks.

CIC live course cancellations received within 3-10 business days of the institute will incur a $50 fee ($384 refund). Cancellations received within 1-2 business days of the institute will incur a $150 fee ($284 refund). There will be no refund if the participant is a no-show. ALL CANCELLATIONS NEED TO BE IN WRITING. IF CLASS HAS NOT BEEN PAID FOR, AND IS CANCELED 10 DAYS OUT FROM CLASS, THE FEE STILL APPLIES.
